It’s September, and I get that back to school feeling once again as the new term starts. My coaching inbox, which is always a bit quiet over the summer, starts to fill up with emails from clients ready to continue their work, and new enquiries from folk who are looking at the year ahead and need some support to:
- start a new job or a more senior role with confidence;
- find a better balance between work and the rest of their life;
- tackle a long term goal such as writing a book, getting a promotion or giving a keynote.
I love the first conversation with a potential new client, hearing about their priorities; and to discuss together how what I can offer might fit with their needs. Each engagement is as unique as the individual its tailored to, and for each coaching looks a little different.
Some of my clients love regular check-ins and count on me to provide that extra accountability to keep them on track. Some prefer to go and work towards their goal and arrange the next session when they are ready to plan the next step.
Since I’ve been coaching professionally for 5 years now and have over 250 hours of coaching experience, I’ve developed a much better feel for the clients I can make the biggest difference for, and if what I can offer isn’t a good fit, I have a network of coaches I can refer to as well.
If you are new to coaching and would like to learn how it might work for you, get in touch and try a free session.
