{"id":328,"date":"2015-04-17T16:44:26","date_gmt":"2015-04-17T16:44:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marendeepwell.wordpress.com\/?p=328"},"modified":"2015-04-17T16:44:26","modified_gmt":"2015-04-17T16:44:26","slug":"professional-literacies-leadership-and-learning-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marendeepwell.com\/?p=328","title":{"rendered":"Professional literacies, leadership and learning technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;&#8221;<strong>In a recent post by Stephen Downes, MOOC pioneer and a proponent of connectivist learning (see for example his<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/CvI0dMcNCcA?list=PLxoWy14N6f8suLx0p1KhC0klW8aAZpu0b\">keynote speech <\/a>at the 2013 ALT Annual Conference), I came across a discussion of different skills and values, professional literacies, that have been shaped by digital technology and the internet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These include not only the now more commonly known digital literacy (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/guides\/developing-digital-literacies\">Jisc&#8217;s guide<\/a> for example), or web literacy (<a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.mozilla.org\/Webmaker\/WebLiteracyMap\">Mozilla&#8217;s recent work<\/a> comes to mind here), but also critical literacy and data literacy.
